I first tried fresh whey while in the Austrian Alps and was blown away by how refreshing it was. When I learned that in the U.S. most fresh whey is thrown away during Greek yogurt manufacturing, I saw a thrilling waste-to-value proposition.
As food waste is one of the biggest contributors to climate change, I wanted to empower consumers to make climate-friendly and nutritious choices on a daily basis. We partner with Greek yogurt manufacturers to rescue and upcycle the nutrients in their supply chain that would otherwise be wasted, to craft delicious, healthy, sustainable products.
Superfrau, along with our Superfans, aims to upcycle 10 million pounds of whey every year.
