With more than 20 years of sales and management experience coupled with 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, Yves Nau brings a wealth of knowledge and hard learned lessons of both industries to Commonwealth Kitchen. Yves is a Haitian-American who grew up in the Ashmont neighborhood of Dorchester with his close-knit family of four. His single mother instilled the importance of rigor and education to level the playing field for her son with his white counterparts.
Yves has his B.A. from Cambridge College in Interdisciplinary Studies and his Masters in Education with a focus on Science from the same college. Yves utilized his educational training as a Permanent Substitute Teacher for the Brockton and Boston Public Schools where he enjoyed working with adolescents in various middle schools. Yves has also been a licensed real estate agent since 2009 and currently owns YK Realty Group.
Currently Yves is a Manager at Darryl’s Corner Bar and Kitchen where he is gaining the necessary experience in the Food/Hospitality industry to open his own restaurant in the future. Yves lives in Hyde Park, MA with his wife Kelly Bates and their two sons.
