Authentic Indian Chai Crafted with Love and Tradition
After moving to the United States in 2007, Rajiv found himself missing the authentic taste of home. While there were plenty of tea shops around, none captured the true essence of Indian street chai – that perfect balance of robust tea, freshly ground spices, and the warmth of tradition.
In 2025, armed with his Dad’s recipe and a passion for sharing authentic Indian chai, Rajiv started The Real Chai at local farmers markets. His goal is to grow and service the chai lover community, where people gather not just for a cup of chai, but for the experience of traditional Indian hospitality.
