Think of us a gym membership for your food business.  You pay  a monthly membership fee and rent the kitchen as you needed. 

CommonWealth Kitchen provides state of the art equipment, knowledgeable staff (who can help you test your recipies, train you on the equipment, get your health permits, and adivise you as your business grows), professional cleaning services,  workspaces and wifi. 

Most importantly, we provide business and techncal support plus the connections you need to succeed.

Incubation Stage

$150/month

  • WHO: Companies that are getting ready to hit the market and are not yet permitted.

    HOW LONG: Before permitted - up to 6 months
  • One-on-one assistance to obtain your permits
  • Assistance from a team of culinary experts developing your recipes
  • Access to classes and workshops
  • Community of food entrepreneurs and peer learning opportunities, online forum
  • Access to Ready to Launch Program for new food business
  • Use of shared conference rooms, wifi, high-speed printer, copier, and scanner
  • Access to Member Resource Library

Start-up Stage

$300/month membership fee, includes 50 hours of kitchen time and $60 membership fee

  • WHO: Permitted companies that are learning the kitchen, developing their product, and building initial sales channels.

    HOW LONG: Up to 3 months
  • Everything in Incubation Stage PLUS
  • One-on-one coaching on equipment, scaling up recipes, testing markets, and building a customer base
  • Technical assistance with product development
  • Monthly cohort meetings to discuss challenges and lessons learned
  • Shipping & receiving and janitorial services
  • 24/7 access to storage
  • Membership in professional organizations

Scaling Stage

$60/month membership fee, 5 hour minimum rental

  • FOR: Companies that are in their first full year of operation.
  • Everything in Start-up Stage PLUS
  • Access to the Member Success team, monthly cohort meetings, and one-on-one monthly meetings with an assigned Member Success Team Member.
  • One-on-one assistance focused on: sell-sheet development, recipe development, financial model development
  • Assistance identifying potential sales channels, delivery and distribution partners, and ingredient sources
  • Access to sales opportunities and CWK events.

$75/month membership fee, 10 hour minimum rental

  • FOR: Companies that are growing, expanding their sales, and scaling their business by producing more efficiently.

    HOW LONG: 10-36 months
  • Additional hours:
    10-15 hours: $35/hour
    16-35 hours: $30/hour
    Over 35 hours: $25/hour
  • Everything in Scaling Stage PLUS
  • Access to sales opportunities and ability to participate in events such a our annual food show,
  • Ability to purchase ingredients through CWK.
  • Opportunity to explore having your product manufactured at our in-house comanufacturer.
