Our business started from just having fun. I love to grill and Martita loves to decorate and cook. We would do personal events for friends and family for free. People couldn’t believe we weren’t a professional company at the time. We received so many encouraging compliments that it motivated us to join CWK and create Lord Dawgz Entertainment llc. We thank those friends and family because it was a very tough time for all of us. For me it wasn’t only the pandemic, I had broken my hand and was eventually let go by the City of Boston. But this was a blessing in disguise. After going six months with no income coming in, Martita and I knew we had to do what we loved to do. All we had was a hot dog cart. But one day after one event I looked back and didn’t see my hot dog cart and I knew I had hitched to my truck. So I got out and walked to the back of my pickup and there it was flat as a pancake. The wooden structure couldn’t take the bumpy streets of Dorchester. I was so embarrassed; back tracking, picking up my spoon as chamfers that we’re all flattened from some one running them over. However, we didn’t let that stop us, we invested in a 26ft trailer and installed TVs and games etc. My old cart can fit inside our knew Lord Dawgz trailer. The trailer has a 7ft projector screen which is popular when people want slide shows for loved one pass away. We have truly become your one stop delicious stop for soul food, Latin food and all occasions. We have literally taken lemons and made lemonade!
